Privacy Policy

CritMath ("we", "us") runs the website at critmath.com. This policy explains what information the site handles and why. The short version: you do not need an account, there are no cookies, and what you save stays on your device.

What happens when you use our tools

Our tables, calculators, builders, comparers and checklists run inside your browser. The game data they use is part of the page you load, so what you type, pick or check is worked out on your device and is not sent to us.

Some tools put their settings in the page address (for example ?level=40) so you can bookmark or share a result. That address stays in your own browser history unless you share it. "Copy link" only copies that address to your clipboard.

When you import a checklist file, your browser reads it on your device; the file is not uploaded anywhere.

Information stored on your device

The site keeps a few things in your browser's local storage so they are still there on your next visit. They are never sent to us, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

• Checklists: which items you checked on each checklist page (gch-checklist:<game>/<page>). "Clear all" removes them.
• Saved builds: the names and picks of builds you save on a builder page (gch-builds:<game>/<page>). "Delete" removes one.

Nothing else is stored, and nothing is stored until you use one of these features.

Server logs

Our site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful and how fast they load. On each page, your browser loads a small script from Cloudflare, which then reports the address of the page and of the page you came from (both without the part after "?", so your tool settings are not included), how long the page took to load, and your browser and operating system type and version. It does not use cookies or local storage, and Cloudflare says it does not fingerprint or track individual visitors. We see only totals, such as visits per page. Cookies and advertising

We do not use cookies or advertising. If we add advertising in the future to keep the site free, we will update this policy before it goes live, explain what data it collects, and ask for your consent where the law requires it, such as in the UK and EU.

Children

CritMath is a general-audience site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your rights

Because our analytics count visits without identifying you, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you email us, we use your message only to reply, and we will delete it on request. Residents of the UK, EU, Canada and US states with privacy laws can contact us about any privacy request.
